Hackathons
EnterpriseRun a hackathon on real sandboxes. See how every project was built.
Publish an event page, take applications without accounts and accept builders in one pass. Each one builds in their own sandbox with their own AI agent, and you review the code, the tests and every prompt.
Rebuild Acme's search in a day.
Nine hours, your own AI and Acme's product catalogue. The search shoppers actually love wins.
01
Applications without accounts.
Builders apply with their name, email and the fields you ask for, then confirm from their inbox. An application only counts once the email is confirmed, which also keeps the spam out.
- Country, GitHub, LinkedIn, company and role: off, optional or required
- Your own questions, as short text, long text or choices
- GitHub and LinkedIn answers are checked and saved as profile links
Apply to build.
02
Choose your builders in one pass.
Filter, select and accept, waitlist or decline in bulk, with your places always in view. When you're ready, one button emails every decision.
- Each acceptance carries the builder's own link into the build
- Change a decision and it's emailed again; nothing goes out twice by mistake
- Export the applications to CSV any time

03
Build day in a real sandbox.
Builders start any time in your window, then get their own hours on the clock. Each one works in VS Code in the browser, with a terminal, your tests and Claude Code or Codex.
- AI on the builder's own Claude or ChatGPT account, or on your organization's key
- The editor saves as they work, so a dropped connection loses nothing
- When the clock runs out, the work is saved and submitted
04
Review how it was built.
Every build opens on the same review page as a coding screen: the final code, the test runs, the activity timeline and every prompt to the agent. An AI summary gives you a first read of each one.
- The AI summary links each finding to the code or the agent chat
- Rate builds and move the ones you like into interviews
- The same review screens your hiring team already uses

Everything a hiring hackathon needs.
Seven languages
The page, forms and every email in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Russian. Write your own words in as many as you like.
en · es · fr · de · it · pt · ruOne schedule
Applications, decisions, build, judging and results, shown to each visitor in their own time zone.
A fair start
A start window plus a personal clock, so a builder in Singapore gets the same hours as one in Lisbon.
Places and a waitlist
Set how many builders you accept, keep a waitlist and move people up when a place frees.
Judge sign-ups
Add a Judge role to the page with its own form, so people can offer to judge.
Privacy built in
Applications that weren't accepted are deleted after the event, and export and erasure cover them. Applicants choose whether judging companies may contact them.
How it works
From draft to build day.
Write the page
Your words in Markdown, the rules, the dates and the form, in any of seven languages.
Publish and share
A public page with a link preview and event data for search engines.
Accept builders
Decide in bulk, then email every decision with one button.
Build and review
Builders work in the sandbox on their own clock, and you review each build on Kendor.
Questions
Do applicants need a Kendor account?
No. They apply with their name and email and confirm from their inbox. Accepted builders open their build from the link in their acceptance email.
Which AI agents can builders use?
Claude Code and Codex, signed in to the builder's own Claude or ChatGPT account, or on your organization's key. The assessment's AI settings decide, and you can turn agents off.
Which plan includes hackathons?
Hackathons are on the Enterprise plan. Tell us how many builders you expect and we'll size it with you.
What happens if a builder's connection drops?
Nothing is lost. The editor saves as they work, the sandbox keeps their files, and they carry on from the same link. Their clock keeps running.
